Tint-It Terms & Conditions

Transform Your Space, One Tint at a Time

Last Amended: July 30th, 2025

Welcome to Tint-It! By scheduling or receiving service from Tint-It, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are subject to change at any time without notice. The most current version will always be available on this page.

1. Access to Property or Vehicle

Clients agree to provide Tint-It with access to their property or vehicle to perform the requested window tinting services. Scheduling may be adjusted due to weather or unforeseen delays. Additional visits may be required to complete the work. Tint-It reserves the right to revisit the site for quality assurance.

2. Surface Risk Acknowledgment

Our technicians follow industry-standard installation procedures. However, some surfaces may be aged, delicate, or previously damaged. Tint-It is not responsible for any damage that occurs due to pre-existing conditions, including scratches, chips, weakened seals, or stress cracks. By receiving service, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

3. Legal Tint Compliance (California)

Clients are responsible for ensuring their selected window film complies with California Vehicle Code §26708. Tint-It may provide general guidance but does not guarantee legal compliance. Clients assume all liability for tickets, citations, or legal consequences resulting from non-compliant tint levels.

4. Driving Visibility

Window tint may affect visibility, particularly at night or in poor weather. Tint-It is not liable for any accidents or injuries that occur due to reduced visibility after installation.

5. Curing Time

Film may take 3–7 days (automotive) or up to 30 days (residential/commercial) to fully cure. During this time, bubbles, haze, and moisture pockets are normal and not considered defects. Clients agree to allow the full curing period before requesting warranty evaluations.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Remove blinds, curtains, furniture, or other obstructions

  • Keep pets, children, and unauthorized individuals away from the work area

  • Provide access to electricity or water if required

  • Avoid touching or interfering with tools, film, or equipment during installation

7. Vehicle Drop-Off & Storage

Tint-It is not responsible for theft, vandalism, or incidental damage to any vehicle left on-site unless caused by proven negligence. Vehicles not picked up within 24 hours after service completion may incur a $45/day storage fee.

8. Final Sale Policy

All window film installations are considered final once applied. No refunds will be issued for completed work unless required by law or caused by a verified installation error.

9. Warranty Limitations

Tint-It honors manufacturer warranties according to their terms. Warranty is void if:

  • Film is damaged due to improper care or use of harsh chemicals

  • Film is scratched, peeled, or tampered with

  • Damage is caused by third parties (e.g., cleaners, detailers, pets)

10. Client-Supplied Materials

If a client supplies their own film or products, Tint-It offers no warranty or guarantee on product performance or installation outcome. All liability remains with the client.

11. Aesthetic Expectations

While we strive for a clean and professional result, small imperfections such as dust specs, edge variations, or minor visual inconsistencies may occur. These do not qualify for refunds or reinstallation.

12. Third-Party Interference

Tint-It is not responsible for any film damage caused by cleaners, contractors, car washes, or other third parties after installation is completed.

13. Weather-Dependent Scheduling

Services may be delayed or rescheduled due to rain, high heat, humidity, or other environmental factors that could affect installation quality.

14. Media Usage & Security

Tint-It may take photos or videos of completed work for marketing or documentation purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing. Security cameras may be used at our facilities for safety and quality control.

15. Digital Consent

By booking a service through our website, phone, email, or social media, you acknowledge and accept all terms listed on this page. This agreement applies whether or not a signature is obtained.

16. Dispute Resolution & Chargebacks

Clients agree to notify Tint-It within 3 business days of any concerns and allow us one opportunity to address the issue. Chargebacks or public complaints made before this step may be considered a violation of this policy.

17. Limitation of Liability

Tint-It is not responsible for incidental, indirect, or consequential losses, including missed appointments, business delays, or vehicle downtime.

18. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including weather, natural disasters, illness, utility outages, or government restrictions.

19. Legal Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be handled through binding arbitration in Santa Clara County, CA, unless prohibited by law.

By using our services, you agree to all of the above terms and conditions. If you have any questions, please contact us before your scheduled appointment.
